Species

Appearance
Korrin is a pale, broad-shouldered man with a weathered face, black hair cut to his jaw, and a beard braided with plain iron rings. Red and black warpaint crosses his brow, runs beneath both eyes, and is rubbed thin at the bridge of his nose from repeated touching. He wears dark wolf armor made from overlapping boiled leather, blackened iron plates, and strips of charcoal-gray wolf hide. The armor smells faintly of pine smoke and tallow. He does not stand squarely like most trained warriors. He waits with his weight on the balls of his feet and one heel slightly raised, as if the ground might crack beneath him. Before speaking, he draws a quiet breath through his nose and holds it for a heartbeat. His hands are heavily callused, but he keeps his fingernails meticulously clean, an unexpectedly domestic detail that makes him seem more like a careful cook than a veteran killer until he moves.
“Low, measured, and plainspoken. His words arrive after a noticeable nasal inhale and a brief pause.”

Distinguishing Features
A deliberate breath through the nose before nearly every spoken sentence.
One heel remains slightly raised whenever he waits, giving him the look of a man standing on thin ice.
Red and black warpaint worn thin at the bridge of his nose from habitual touching.
Iron rings in his jaw-length beard, each ring marking a winter he spent guarding the northern passes.
Meticulously clean fingernails that contrast with his scarred, work-hardened hands.
Voice
“A low baritone roughened by cold air and smoke, with a faint rasp at the end of longer sentences. When he lies, his voice becomes more courteous and formal.”
Clothing
Dark wolf armor over layered charcoal wool, seal-hide boots, a weather-stiffened gray cloak, red cord around the left wrist, and a plain iron torque worn beneath his collar. He carries no bright ornament except a small copper cooking spoon tucked into his belt.
Body Language
Korrin keeps his torso relaxed but his feet angled toward the nearest person who appears frightened. While waiting, he balances on the balls of his feet with one heel raised. When someone lies, he presses his thumb against the second iron ring in his beard. When genuinely amused, he looks down and rubs the edge of his shield with his palm.
