Appearance
A young woman who looks too carefully composed for a deserted square. She stands with her weight on the balls of her feet, as if the paving stones might tilt beneath her, and turns her whole body before turning her head. Her elegance is practical rather than ornamental: every fold of cloth has been pinned, tucked, or repaired for movement. The first impression is of a polished duelist, but a closer look reveals flour caught in one sleeve seam, a cracked thumbnail, and a plain laborer's cord around her wrist. She moves quietly, yet when she stops, she becomes startlingly still, like a portrait painted over a door. The unexpected contradiction is her hands, which are broad-palmed and rough from years of hauling water barrels and sharpening tools, entirely at odds with her poised, courtly bearing.
“Low, measured, and practical. She speaks in short sentences when alert, but becomes unexpectedly poetic when discussing water, ink, or worn tools.”

Distinguishing Features
She wears one spotless white glove on her sword hand, even after travel.
Her left cuff is always being smoothed whenever she tells a lie.
She plants one boot on the lip of the dry fountain when listening, as though taking a watch post.
Her bright clothing is visibly repaired with contrasting thread, making every mended place look intentional.
Her hands are rough and work-worn despite her elegant posture and refined manner.
Voice
“A low contralto with a dry edge, rarely raised above conversational volume. When she is frightened, her diction becomes more formal and her voice sounds almost aristocratic.”
Clothing
A vivid saffron waistcoat beneath a deep teal riding coat, both altered from garments bought secondhand. The coat hangs slightly short at the wrists and has six visible repairs in blue thread. She wears narrow charcoal trousers, soft red sash-cloth around her waist, scuffed brown boots, and one immaculate white glove on her sword hand. The glove is over-cared-for, brushed clean after every fight.
Body Language
When waiting, she balances on the front edge of one boot and keeps her sword-side shoulder slightly back. She smooths her left cuff whenever she lies, and when angered she stops blinking rather than raising her voice.
