Unique demigod
Eudamion Arestai
Species
Elf
Appearance
Socothbenoth appears as a slender, striking aiuvarin man whose beauty is precise enough to feel engineered. His long brown hair falls in heavy, glossy ropes, threaded with tiny silver hooks and pale snake vertebrae. His ebony eyes reflect light like polished stone, with no visible whites. Countless metal and bone piercings pass through his ears, brows, lips, collarbones, ribs, and knuckles, yet none seem to snag his clothing or impede his movement. Albino snakes coil around his shoulders, wrists, and ankles, ranging from thread-thin hatchlings to thick serpents long enough to loop around his torso. He stands with his weight on the balls of his feet, as if the floor might move beneath him, and waits by gently rocking forward and back. His skin has the dry, faintly pebbled texture of warm river stone rather than the softness expected of an elf. The contradictory impression is that he looks delicate but feels physically unavoidable, like a silk cord pulled tight enough to cut stone.
“His speech is intimate and unhurried, with long pauses that make listeners fill the silence themselves. He pronounces names perfectly after hearing them once.”

Distinguishing Features
Ebony eyes with no visible whites
Countless metal and bone piercings across the body
A living mantle of albino snakes
Long brown hair threaded with vertebrae and silver hooks
A forward-leaning posture and constant rocking while at rest
A faint scent of rain on hot stone and crushed fennel
Voice
“A low, velvet tenor with a faint rasp, as though every sentence has passed over sand. When he speaks through a snake, the voice arrives from several directions at once.”
Clothing
A sleeveless coat of dark plum silk hangs from his shoulders and splits into long ribbon-like panels around his legs. Beneath it he wears close-fitting charcoal trousers, soft black boots, and a broad sash woven with tiny mirrored scales. His jewelry is a mixture of silver, tarnished gold, polished bone, and dull iron, each piece inscribed with a name he has not yet forgiven.
Body Language
He leans slightly forward when listening, never quite settling his heels. His fingers constantly test the edges of his piercings, and nearby snakes mirror the gestures of whoever speaks to him. When amused, he tilts his head until one ear nearly touches his shoulder. When genuinely frightened, he becomes perfectly still.
