The Scene

- Acknowledge the dead or the cost of failure without grandstanding
- Submit a weapon, oath, or token to the wardens for inspection
NPC Gambits
- A calm, practical answer to Kaerith's challenge
- A vow with a hard limit, not a boast
- A visible act of discipline, such as waiting for the signal before moving
- A respectful correction when the wardens test for pride
NPC Reactions
- A warden narrows their eyes at any swagger.
- Kaerith answers bluntly and hates wasted words.
- If the party shows restraint, the wardens step back and let Kaerith speak.
