Brígh Clychpr
Bard
Brígh Clychpr
Species
Lightfoot halfling
Appearance
Brígh Clychpr is a wiry, weather-browned halfling woman with broad hands, narrow shoulders, and the deceptively delicate balance of a dancer crossing a rain-slick roof. Her black hair is shaved close over one ear and braided into a thick cord over the other, threaded with copper washers that click softly when she moves. Her skin bears a permanent constellation of pale burn marks across her left palm and wrist. She smiles with one slightly crooked front tooth, yet her eyes remain watchful even when she laughs. She walks with a loose, almost comic sway, as if perpetually keeping time with music no one else can hear. The unexpected thing about her is her stillness: when grief or anger takes her, she can become utterly motionless, like a small statue left in an abandoned shrine.
“Her ordinary voice is quick, dry, and conversational, with a soft lilt shaped by hill-country dialects. When performing, she drops into a resonant contralto far larger than her body suggests.”

Distinguishing Features
A web of pale burn scars across her left palm and wrist.
Copper washers braided into one side of her hair.
A crooked front tooth that shows whenever she laughs.
A red wool cord around her neck tied to an iron key.
She can reproduce the exact rhythm of any knock she has heard.
Voice
“A low, smoky contralto with a rasp at the edges, capable of becoming warmly intimate or cuttingly loud without warning.”
Clothing
A patched russet waistcoat over a faded green shirt, charcoal trousers tucked into soft leather boots, and a rain cape lined with mismatched scraps of old festival banners. She wears a red wool cord around her neck, tied around a small iron key that opens nothing she admits to owning.
Body Language
Brígh leans toward people when they speak, but her feet remain angled toward the nearest escape route. She drums her thumb against her fingers in complicated rhythms when anxious. In anger, she becomes unnervingly quiet and folds her hands over the burn scars on her left wrist.
