Nya umi bint Rhos
Species
Celestial Kitsune
Appearance
Nya umi is a slight young kitsune with soft gold fur brushed through with narrow red markings along her shoulders, wrists, spine, and the ends of her three tails. Her fur has a velvet texture except around her tails, where it grows long and feathery like sunlit grass. She moves with a buoyant, almost dancing lightness, yet she habitually keeps one heel lifted as though ready to spring sideways. Her yellow-gold eyes are warm and kind, but her pupils narrow sharply whenever someone lies. In human form she appears as a seventeen-year-old girl with golden eyes, smooth warm-brown skin, and thick dark-gold hair braided with red thread. The unexpected contradiction is her expression: despite her celestial appearance and gentle smile, she often looks mildly inconvenienced by beauty, as if being noticed is an irritating chore.
“Her voice is soft, rounded, and musical, with occasional lilting Gaelic and Levantine inflections. She speaks as though every sentence is being set carefully into a piece of jewelry.”

Distinguishing Features
Three unusually full tails with red tips and faint gold sparks that appear when she is emotional.
A silver bell sewn into her collar that she guards more carefully than her most expensive jewelry.
Her embroidered shirt contains tiny glass beads that catch light like sparks when she moves.
She leaves faintly luminous pawprints for several seconds after changing into fox form.
Her human form's three long fabric tails are deliberately patched to match the repairs on her real tails.
Voice
“A warm, low, bell-soft voice that rarely rises above conversational volume. Her laughter has a foxlike yip at its center, while her battle commands are surprisingly crisp and carrying.”
Clothing
She wears light green trousers tucked into layered leg warmers, a long-sleeved quilted shirt embroidered with red foxes and curling tongues of fire, and a short jade-colored vest lined with hidden pockets. The embroidery is lovingly maintained but visibly repaired with mismatched red thread. Her human form wears three long strips of trailing fabric that mimic her tails. One item is cared for obsessively: a tiny silver bell sewn into her collar, which she polishes every morning despite never allowing it to ring.
Body Language
In human form she keeps her shoulders relaxed and lets the three long fabric tails of her outfit drift behind her like living punctuation. She occupies less space than she could, often standing half behind a counter or companion, but her real tails betray her emotions by curling toward people she trusts and snapping straight when she senses danger. In fox form she circles people once before settling, leaving tiny glowing pawprints that fade after a few seconds.
