Osa Bell
Fighter
Osa Bell
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Osa Bell is a broad-shouldered half-orc woman whose presence seems to arrive a heartbeat before the rest of her. She stands with her weight slightly forward, as if every floorboard is a deck pitching beneath her boots. Her hands are the first thing most people notice, thick-knuckled and permanently roughened by rope burn, tar, salt, and splintered crate wood. The nails of her left hand are stained dark from years of caulking work. Her lower tusks are filed flat, not for beauty but so she can bite through waxed cord without cutting her gums. She moves with startling care for someone so large, placing each step quietly and testing loose boards with the ball of her foot. The contradiction is disarming: her arms look built to break a mast, but she handles cups, ledgers, and frightened animals with exquisite gentleness.
“A low, weathered contralto with clipped consonants and a rolling dockside rhythm. She speaks softly when furious and loudly only when coordinating a crew.”

Distinguishing Features
Her left hand is darkened by tar and caulking that never fully washes out.
Her lower tusks are filed flat, and she bites through cord rather than reaching for a knife.
A red signal scarf is always tied somewhere on her person, even when she is indoors.
She carries herself like a moving deck, steadying everyone around her without asking permission.
A faint scent of salt, lamp oil, and crushed fennel follows her into a room.
Voice
“A low contralto roughened by salt air, with the patient cadence of someone used to being heard over wind, chains, and surf.”
Clothing
A salt-stiffened blue coat with brass toggles, a sleeveless leather harness, patched canvas trousers, iron-capped boots, and a red scarf used for signaling cargo crews. Her belt carries chalk, waxed cord, a folding knife, and three wooden tally tokens.
Body Language
Osa occupies space without seeming to notice it. She angles her body between danger and smaller people, rests one hand on nearby furniture as if judging its strength, and rolls her shoulders before making a difficult decision. When relaxed, she knots and unknots a short length of cord around her wrist.
