Appearance

Gorjeka is a small copper-scaled dragonborn child with a round, slightly oversized head, a narrow tail that never stops twitching, and a lively gait that makes him seem permanently one step from sprinting. His scales are warm bronze near the face and shoulders, fading into greenish copper along his arms and tail. Fine powder from crushed leaves clings to the ridges above his eyes, giving him the permanently dusty look of a child who has just crawled out from under a hedge. Before speaking, he takes a sharp, audible breath through his nose and presses his tongue against one side of his beak-like mouth. His most noticeable possession is a tiny wooden whistle worn on a cord around his neck. The cord has worn a dark polished groove into the scales at his throat. He smells faintly of wet soil, candle smoke, and sour apples. Unexpectedly, for a child who is constantly filthy from climbing and exploring, he is intensely careful about keeping his claws clean before meals.

BuildSmall and wiry, with sturdy legs, narrow shoulders, and the restless balance of a child who climbs more often than he walks.
EyesBright amber with narrow black pupils and tiny flecks of green that appear when his druidic magic stirs.
HairNone, though short flexible scales along his crown resemble tousled swept-back hair.
SkinCopper-bronze scales with greenish patina along the elbows, knees, and tail tip.

Quick, bright, and breathy, with words tumbling over one another when he is excited. He speaks in sudden whispers when discussing secrets and becomes unnaturally formal when he believes he is being brave.”

Distinguishing Features

A tiny wooden whistle hangs at his throat, polished dark where his claws constantly grip it.

His tail makes a soft tapping sound against nearby surfaces when he is excited.

A pale crescent of scales marks the center of his left palm, resembling a tiny new moon.

He has an unusually careful, ceremonial way of washing his claws before eating.

His acid breath smells faintly of green apples and old copper.

Voice

A bright childlike tenor with a soft rasp at the edges, as though he has spent the morning shouting through reeds. His laughter begins as a snort and often turns into a coughing fit when he gets too excited.

Clothing

A patched brown tunic beneath a faded green vest, soft leather trousers cut short for easier climbing, mismatched wool socks, and a belt made from braided cord. He wears a cracked brass button from his mother's traveling cloak as a charm and carries a little canvas satchel full of seeds, pebbles, string, and stolen biscuits.

Body Language

Gorjeka leans forward when listening, rocking on the balls of his feet as though his body is already pursuing the next idea. His tail coils around chair legs when he is trying to appear calm. When ashamed, he hides his hands behind his back and angles his snout toward the floor, but his eyes keep darting toward whoever might forgive him first.
