Appearance
A compact forest gnome built like a root-knotted stump, Talla stands with her weight planted wide and her shoulders slightly forward, as if bracing against an unseen storm. Her weather-worn skin is creased by sun, rain, and years of woodland patrols. Moss-green hair is braided tightly against her scalp, each braid threaded with small carved wooden tokens bearing the names of settlements she has protected. Deep hazel-brown eyes flick constantly between faces, door hinges, boot soles, and loose stones. Her hands are broad, strong, and deeply calloused, with soil permanently worked into the lines of her palms. She moves with deliberate, nearly silent economy, never wasting a step, yet her stillness can feel more imposing than a soldier's march. The unexpected contradiction is her smile: when it appears, it is enormous, mischievous, and childlike, utterly at odds with her severe council-room presence.
