Gearwarden Rixie Brass-Spring
Species
Rock Gnome
Appearance
Gearwarden Rixie Brass-Spring is a vibrant, perpetually moving rock gnome with wide inquisitive amber eyes and a dusting of copper freckles across her nose and cheeks. Her dark hair is pulled into a lopsided topknot held together by a self-adjusting brass hair-fork that quietly tightens whenever she becomes excited. Her fingers are stained with blue solder, lampblack, and green chemical patina, while her knuckles bear tiny etched calibration marks. She walks with a spring-loaded half-skipping gait, as if gravity is an inefficient suggestion, and often pivots in place instead of turning normally. Her customized multi-lensed goggles constantly click, refocus, and whisper measurements about nearby machinery. The contradictory impression she leaves is that of a miniature whirlwind wearing an immaculate technician's coat: every surface around her becomes cluttered, yet Rixie herself remains sharply groomed, polished, and perfectly composed.
“Rapid, bright, and densely descriptive, with sudden technical metaphors. Rixie speaks as though every conversation is a collaborative design review, punctuating sentences with clicks, taps, and delighted little gasps.”

Distinguishing Features
Copper freckles arranged in a pattern resembling a gear with one missing tooth.
A brass hair-fork that adjusts itself and occasionally writes tiny calculations in condensation.
A left eye that briefly displays rotating calibration marks when she concentrates.
A thin scar around her right wrist from a prototype restraint that tightened during testing.
Her shadow sometimes shows the wings of a magpie even when Plick is elsewhere.
Voice
“A quicksilver contralto with a bright metallic rasp, like a songbird speaking through a finely tuned phonograph”
Clothing
A sharply tailored deep-charcoal canvas technician's coat lined with secret tool pockets, fitted trousers reinforced at the knees, articulated brass bracers, soot-resistant gloves, copper-toed boots, a segmented utility harness, and customized multi-lensed goggles perched on her forehead
Body Language
Rixie rarely stands still. Her elbows angle outward as if bracing against invisible machinery, her goggles descend whenever she lies, and her left thumb repeatedly winds an unseen spring. When angry, she becomes motionless except for the precise rotation of her head. When delighted, every nearby metal object begins to tremble from the resonance of her tapping fingers.
