Orsai Murel
Archfey Trickster
Orsai Murel
Species
Archfey
Appearance
At first glance, he appears to be a slender man with theatrical red hair, the color of polished copper warmed by firelight. The hair is soft and loosely curled, but individual strands occasionally drift upward as if underwater. His skin has the texture of pale birch bark beneath living flesh, smooth at a distance and faintly ridged along the throat, wrists, and cheekbones. He moves with a dancer's economy, never quite placing his feet where observers expect. His smile is gentle, almost maternal, while his hands are quick enough to steal a ring during a handshake and return it before the victim notices. His unexpected contradiction is that his reflection appears older, tired, and completely bald, regardless of whatever appearance he wears.
“His voice is soft, rounded, and warm, with a lilting cadence that makes even threats sound like invitations. He pronounces names carefully, as though tasting their history.”

Distinguishing Features
A tiny brass key is embedded beneath the skin of his right palm.
His reflection has a different age and appearance from his body.
His left glove is always warm, even in winter.
When he lies, one red hair turns silver for exactly one minute.
His shadow occasionally reaches toward nearby doors before he does.
Voice
“A low, musical voice with a gentle Basque and Romani-like lilt, never loud unless he is calling someone by their true name.”
Clothing
He wears a russet velvet coat cut like a courtier's riding jacket, lined with pressed leaves that remain green on the inside. Beneath it is a cream shirt fastened with wooden buttons carved into tiny sleeping faces. His gloves are mismatched, one pearl-gray and one brown, and his boots are soft-soled for silent movement. A tarnished silver crown rests in his satchel rather than on his head.
Body Language
He keeps one hand loosely cupped as if holding an invisible coin. When amused, he tilts his head and watches people's hands rather than their faces. When frightened, his posture becomes perfectly still, and a faint seam of darkness appears beneath his left heel.
