Akhavos Kserkkan
Rogue, Mastermind
Akhavos Kserkkan
Species
Half-Dragon, Gold Draconic Ancestry
Appearance
Akhavos stands beneath the Pavilion's hanging lamps like a polished piece of the mountain, his burnished gold scales dulled by a fine veil of soot around the throat and shoulders. Soot-darkened crest ridges sweep backward from his brow in compact, iron-hard folds. His movements are economical and unnervingly quiet for someone armored in metal, each step placed with the care of a man crossing a narrow bridge in high wind. A brass balance-scale hangs from his left hand, its pans chiming softly whenever the Pavilion chains shift. He carries a seal-press in the other, its handle worn smooth where generations of clerks once gripped it, though Akhavos has polished the metal until it reflects firelight like a second eye. His tailored coat suggests a court official, but the velvet is patched at the inner elbows with practical black leather. The unexpected detail is his smile, warm, almost domestic, arriving most often when he catches someone attempting a lie.
“His voice is low, polished, and dryly musical, with the careful rhythm of a clerk reading a sentence that has already been decided. A faint intake of breath and a soft tongue-click precede most statements.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass balance-scale is always in his left hand, and its left pan is visibly worn thin from years of weighing Star-Sand samples.
The seal-press he carries bears three overlapping impressions, one from his mother, one from his father, and one made by Akhavos himself.
His voice is preceded by a dry intake of breath and a faint click of the tongue against a gold tooth.
The gold scales beneath his jaw are darkened by permanent soot, giving his otherwise polished appearance the look of a half-extinguished forge.
He smiles warmly when someone lies, as if the lie has confirmed a private calculation.
Voice
“A controlled baritone with a metallic warmth beneath it, like a brass instrument heard through steam. His consonants are crisp, his pauses deliberate, and his laughter surprisingly soft.”
Clothing
A charcoal velvet coat with gold-thread piping, high collar, reinforced inner sleeves, light mithral armor beneath the fabric, black leather gloves, polished scale-anchors at the belt, and knee-high boots fitted with gripping soles for wet basalt and grated platforms
Body Language
Akhavos keeps his shoulders square and his chin slightly lowered, as if permanently reading a document held below eye level. He rotates the brass scale by its chain when thinking. Before delivering an accusation, he inhales through his teeth, pauses for exactly one heartbeat, and lets the scale settle.
