Monolith-Eight
Fighter, Rune Knight
Monolith-Eight
Species
Tectonic Forged, Star-Sand Calibrated
Appearance
Monolith-Eight is assembled from polished grey granite blocks, each one rounded by years of handling rather than carved to perfection. Heavy bronze hoops bind his shoulders, waist, and knees, their surfaces dulled by salt air and constant winch grease. Behind a thick glass chest plate, a bright azure Star-Sand core pulses with the slow rhythm of a lighthouse. Thin lines of blue light travel through seams in his stone body whenever he moves. He stands utterly still during strong gusts, yet his fingers make tiny corrective adjustments against the deck as if he is always measuring tension. The unexpected softness is his hands, whose palm-stones have been ground smooth enough to cradle a sleeping child without scratching it.
“His voice sounds like a deep hammer striking a hollow bell, steady and resonant, with a faint grinding pause before emotionally difficult words. In strong wind, he speaks more softly rather than shouting.”

Distinguishing Features
A bright azure Star-Sand core glows behind a thick glass chest plate.
His granite body carries faint blue calibration lines that brighten under stress.
One bronze shoulder hoop is stamped with the names of forty-three workers he has protected.
He smells of wet stone, hot metal, and bitter winch grease.
Before speaking, he makes a quiet stone-on-stone click deep in his throat.
Voice
“Low, resonant, and measured, with the reverberation of stone chambers and the faint metallic chime of cooling bronze”
Clothing
A tar-dark canvas half-cloak hangs from his left shoulder, secured with a brass customs badge. He wears a heavy tool belt, reinforced deck wraps around his knees, and a red woven cord tied around his right wrist by a former apprentice. During cold shifts, he wears a padded harness lined with wool and heated metal plates.
Body Language
He turns his whole torso toward whoever speaks, then lowers his head until the blue glow from his chest plate lights the listener's hands. When listening to a lie, one thumb presses slowly against the nearest bronze hoop. In dangerous weather, he widens his stance and lets the wind strike him first.
