Magister Valeria Spark-Scale
Wizard 11, Divination; Artificer 4
Magister Valeria Spark-Scale
Species
Blue Dragonborn
Appearance
Valeria is a lean, sharp-featured blue dragonborn whose deep electric-blue scales shimmer like polished enamel over iron. Faint static arcs crawl between her horns whenever her concentration shifts, and the air around her smells subtly of rain striking hot stone. Her swept-back crest-horns form precise academic ridges, though one horn is chipped near the base and repaired with a silver clamp. Exhaustion has hollowed the pale skin around her luminous indigo eyes. She moves with abrupt, economical precision, stopping so suddenly that her robes continue to sway after she has become still. Despite her intimidating, almost predatory silhouette, she has delicate hands stained with violet ink and wears tiny spectacles when reading, an unexpectedly fussy habit that makes her look more like a sleep-deprived archivist than a military arcanist.
“Measured and highly articulate, with clipped academic phrasing. She rarely uses contractions during official business.”

Distinguishing Features
A silver clamp repairs the base of her left horn.
Her right palm bears a circular burn mark shaped like an impossible compass.
Static sparks jump from her claws to nearby metal whenever she experiences strong doubt.
Her shadow occasionally points toward the nearest active rift instead of following the light.
One scale beneath her jaw is translucent and reveals a dim, pulsing blue glow.
Voice
“Low, controlled, and dry, with a faint electrical crackle beneath certain consonants. When she is frightened, the voice becomes softer and more precise rather than louder.”
Clothing
Tailored dark-grey wool scholar's robes reinforced with copper-threaded weave, leaded-glass shoulder plates, insulated gloves, a scorched blue sash bearing the seal of the Rift Laboratories, and heavy basalt-soled boots. Her sleeves are secured with brass clasps so they cannot catch on laboratory machinery.
Body Language
Valeria holds herself rigidly upright even when exhausted. Her tail makes small metronomic taps against the floor while she calculates. When someone lies, the static around her horns intensifies, and she angles her head as if listening to a distant storm.
