Valara Cleth-Aurix
Wizard 11, Order of Scribes, Cleric 5, Knowledge Domain
Valara Cleth-Aurix
Species
Dragonborn, Gold
Appearance
Valara is a statuesque gold dragonborn whose polished scales carry the warm sheen of old coin beneath candlelight. Fine scales around her throat and wrists are slightly darker, almost bronze, as if smoke once settled beneath them. Her swept-back crest-horns form smooth arches behind her head, while a narrow line of ivory scar tissue crosses the left side of her muzzle. She moves with unnerving economy, placing each foot as carefully as a seal pressed into wax. Her amber eyes remain luminous and steady even during outrage. The unexpected softness is in her hands, which are small for her frame and remarkably gentle when turning pages, tending injured petitioners, or calming frightened children. She leaves behind an impression of incense, warm metal, and the faint dry rasp of parchment sliding over parchment.
“Her voice is low, warm, and perfectly articulated, carrying the dry resonance of a temple bell. She speaks in measured clauses, rarely contracts words, and places unusual emphasis on names.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin ivory scar crosses the left side of her muzzle and glows faintly when she casts divination magic
Her floating codex contains pages of black vellum that turn toward whoever is speaking
The tips of her claws are stained with permanent gold ink from decades of annotating sacred precedent
A small iron grain measure hangs from her belt, a private reminder of the Concordance Famine
She smiles only with one side of her mouth, usually when someone has surprised her intellectually
Voice
“Warm, resonant, and bell-like, with a careful softness that becomes more intimidating than shouting when she delivers a judgment.”
Clothing
Immaculately tailored crimson judicial robes layered over gold-threaded clerical silk, a sleeveless black under-robe marked with the seven sacred bindings, lacquered scale-mail panels beneath the fabric, white gloves stitched with conductive silver, and a narrow sash carrying seals from the highest courts
Body Language
Her posture is upright without stiffness, her shoulders squared beneath layered silk. She angles her head a few degrees when detecting an omission, taps one claw against the spine of her codex when weighing a sentence, and folds both hands over her staff when she has already reached a decision. In anger, she becomes almost completely still, while the floating pages around her begin turning on their own.
