Faion Křuskainen
Divine Spark, Failed Rebel Patron
Faion Křuskainen
Species
Outsider
Appearance
Faion looks like a man pulled halfway through a wound in the sky. His body is lean and tightly coiled, with the stillness of a hunting animal interrupted by sudden, angular movements. His skin has the matte texture of cooled volcanic glass, but hairline seams of cold blue light run from his throat to his wrists and pulse whenever he feels ashamed. His hands are too delicate for his temper, with long fingers and blunt, ink-dark nails. He wears a permanent bruise beneath his left eye, a mark that no healing can remove. The unexpected contradiction is his face: furious when still, almost scholarly when absorbed in a task, with a small, careful smile that appears only when mending broken objects.
“His speech is controlled and formal until anger breaks through. Then his words accelerate, consonants striking like pebbles in a metal bowl.”

Distinguishing Features
Blue light pulses beneath black, glasslike skin whenever he experiences shame.
A permanent bruise surrounds his left eye and changes shape in moonlight.
His shadow sometimes points toward the nearest prison, regardless of the light source.
The fingertips of his right hand are dusted with silver ash that never washes away.
He carries a child's tin whistle but cannot play it without producing a low, mournful chord.
Voice
“A low, dry baritone with a faint second resonance beneath it, as if another voice is repeating his words from inside a stone well.”
Clothing
A weather-stained charcoal coat fastened with mismatched copper hooks, a red wool sash taken from the old rebel standard, wrapped linen around both forearms, and soft boots sewn from prison blankets. The coat is carefully patched despite Faion's contempt for sentiment.
Body Language
Faion holds himself as though expecting an insult from every direction. His shoulders stay squared, but his fingers twitch against his palms. He turns his whole body toward anyone speaking, never merely his head. During moments of shame, he becomes unnaturally motionless and the blue cracks beneath his skin brighten.
