Beko Ardan is built from layered granite blocks fitted into a humanoid frame, each stone surface worn smooth where hands, tools, and years of corridor dust have touched it. Brass-bound iron plating overlaps their shoulders, ribs, hips, and forearms, carrying hairline scratches filled with black grit. Abjuration runes glow in thin golden lines along their limbs, brightening whenever a door slams or distant artillery rolls through the fortress. Behind the thick grate in their chest burns a radiant Star-Sand core, gold at the center and white around the edges, like a captured forge seen through storm glass. Their jaw is made from two interlocking slabs of dark basalt. When they speak, the plates part with a heavy click, revealing rows of small brass locking teeth. They do not smile often, but when they do, the motion resembles a gate opening. Their movements are slow only until danger appears. Then the massive body becomes startlingly precise, every step placed with the care of a mason setting a final stone. The unexpected softness is their hands, whose fingertips are wrapped in pale felt strips to keep them from crushing delicate tools, paper, or living fingers.
