Rune-Pillar Prime
Species
Tectonic Forged, Foundry-Tempered
Appearance
The Rune-Pillar Prime is a towering Tectonic Forged assembled from layered granite blocks, black iron joints, and brass-bound plates dulled by years of soot and handling. Abjuration runes glow in narrow lines along its elbows, knees, collar, and knuckles, brightening whenever it braces against force. Behind the thick grate in its chest burns a radiant golden Star-Sand core, whose light spills through the seams like sunrise seen beneath a shut door. Its movements are slow only at first glance. Every step lands with measured certainty, and every turn seems calculated around the geometry of a corridor. The unexpected detail is its mouth, a narrow hinged plate filled with small ceramic teeth. It uses them to grind mineral tablets during maintenance, producing a dry, delicate clicking that sounds almost like nervous laughter. When calm, its voice is barely louder than settling masonry. When rattled, its internal pressure valves exhale in a high, breathy whistle before each word.
“A low, resonant voice emerges through a grille beneath the chest grate, accompanied by the faint hiss of pressure valves. Each sentence ends with a soft metallic chime.”

Voice
“Low, resonant, measured, and almost gentle, with a pressure hiss between phrases that sharpens into a whistle when the Rune-Pillar Prime is frightened or furious.”
Clothing
A blackened Aegis Command tabard hangs from its shoulder frame, reinforced with chain mesh and marked by a weather-faded gold gate sigil. A belt of numbered brass seal-plates circles its waist, and a red containment cord is tied around its left wrist.
Body Language
The Rune-Pillar Prime communicates with minute shifts of mass. It angles its chest grate toward whoever is speaking, lowers its head when listening, and presses one brass thumb against the nearest wall when calculating danger. Its arms hang at its sides like bridge supports until a threat appears, then they rise with sudden mechanical precision. When anxious, its shoulders lock and the glowing runes along its forearms pulse out of sequence.
