Voice

A clear, chest-supported voice trained to carry across a noisy stage, with a dry rasp from dust and stale dungeon air. Her consonants snap into place like counted steps; the name Géska carries an off-beat stress in her own mouth. Anger makes her sharper and faster, not softer.

Her Basic has the quick, clipped consonants of someone used to being heard over drums and market noise. She lands important words on unexpected beats, a habit from stage calls, and lets pauses hang until others fill them. When recalling home, Ryl phrases slip into her speech; when frightened, her sentences become short instructions.

Speech patterns

Uses stage and movement metaphors, especially when discussing danger or plans.
Asks precise questions about timing, keys, and who benefits before agreeing to help.
Calls people by the action they take rather than by their rank when she distrusts them.
When afraid, she becomes more practical and specific, not more soothing.

How to play them

Offer practical help and speak plainly. Géska responds to people who notice the conditions of her captivity without treating her as helpless or demanding gratitude. She withholds trust until someone takes a risk that costs them something.

Goal

Escape before her transfer, then find her aunt and the remaining members of her troupe.

Motivation

Freedom matters most to her, but she cannot accept freedom purchased by abandoning someone who has no chance to run.

Appearance

Géska sits with her back near the cold stone, apparently folded into a dancer's resting pose, but her weight is balanced over the balls of her dusty bare feet. Her rubis-red skin has a satin sheen along the cheekbones and a faint granular texture at her elbows from years of rosin and rough stages. Deep indigo lekku, black-violet at the roots, spill over one shoulder; tiny brass rings climb one of them, each ring worn smooth where her thumb worries it. Copper flecks catch in her amber eyes when the lantern shifts. A carved collar, stacked bangles, armbands, sapphire performance wraps, and a torn translucent sarong preserve the remains of a once elaborate costume beneath the grime. Her left ankle is locked in a heavy shackle, its chain coiled across the floor and tethered behind her. Her painted nails end in small metal spikes. The unexpected detail: she has an exacting, almost fussy sense of rhythm and will silently tap out dance counts with her toes even while planning an escape.

Clothing

Torn sapphire performance wraps and a translucent, ragged sarong with ornate brass clasps. A carved collar, stacked bangles, armbands, and toe-rings remain from her stage costume. Her feet are bare and dusty; her left ankle bears a heavy iron shackle and long chain.

Body language

She occupies space like a performer who has learned to make herself small on command, yet never truly looks cornered. Her shoulders stay loose, her feet remain ready, and her lekku telegraph irritation before her face does. One hand often rests near the shackle, fingertips testing its seams.

A line of tiny brass rings climbing one lekku, polished smooth from habitual touching.

Painted, spiked nails and a heavy shackle at her left ankle.
Her feet tap silent dance counts even when she is planning something dangerous.

Personality

13 traits and drives

Géska is generous with small comforts but guarded with promises. In company she can be wry and theatrical, using humor to control the room; alone or under threat she becomes methodical, measuring every sound and movement. She wants to believe that a brave choice can matter, yet resents being praised for courage when others bear the consequences.

Alignment
Pragmatic and compassionate, with little patience for laws that protect ownership of people.

Quirks

Taps dance counts with her toes whenever she is thinking.
Turns every loose object on a table so its edge points toward the nearest exit.
Names guard patrols after the sounds their boots make, never their actual names.
Keeps a brass ring between her fingers and rolls it without looking.
Refuses to step on chalk lines, cracks, or floor markings unless she has counted them first.

Habits

Counts entrances, steps, and guard rotations as though rehearsing choreography.
Tests every restraint with patient, incremental pressure rather than frantic tugging.
When someone is frightened, she offers a concrete task instead of empty reassurance.
After a setback, she makes a dry joke, then becomes unusually precise about the next plan.

Traits · 4

Warm toward the frightened, suspicious of the confident.
Proud of her craft, but hates being treated as entertainment.
Can make a room laugh, then abruptly turn precise and businesslike.
Values loyalty, yet keeps an escape plan even for people she loves.

Flaws · 3

She risks too much to help someone who reminds her of the child she once rescued.
She treats trust like a performance that must be earned through repeated tests.
She sometimes mistakes a clever escape plan for a safe one.

Fears · 3

Being transferred before she can learn where her troupe went.
That someone else will pay for her next act of defiance.
That survival will eventually make her resemble Oru.

Wants and needs · 3

A chance to escape without leaving Nima to take the blame.
Proof that her aunt and troupe are alive.
A trustworthy ally who will not turn her freedom into a debt.

Combat

HP 12 · Custom rule: moves one ordinary pace per turn; the ankle chain limits her to its tether's reach until freed.

Géska avoids a fair fight. She uses the chain, benches, bars, and opponents' expectations as tools, aiming to create an escape route or protect a weaker person rather than win by force. If cornered, she targets balance, hands, and knees, then runs.

Custom Star Wars-compatible rules. use a simple d6 pool. Roll the listed number of six-sided dice and count each 5 or 6 as one success; difficulty is usually 1 success for a routine risk, 2 for a hard task, and 3 for an extreme one. These are custom rules, not official Star Wars statistics.
Twi'lek lekku are highly expressive sensory appendages; Géska uses their subtle movements to signal trusted allies.
Dancer's Balance. once per scene, Géska may reroll one failed die on an Acrobatics or escape-related test.

Actions

Heel-and-Palm. Custom rule: roll 3 dice for an unarmed strike. On at least one success, deal 2 damage; on 3 or more successes, deal 3 damage and move the target one pace if the fiction allows.
Thrown Trinket. Custom rule: roll 2 dice to flick a sharpened toe-ring or improvised shard at a nearby target. On at least one success, deal 1 damage. She has no reliable ranged weapon while imprisoned.
Stage-Worn Feint. Custom rule: roll 3 dice against a target's opposed awareness or composure pool. On a success, draw their attention toward her, creating an opening for an ally to move or act; this is misdirection, not mind control.

Reactions

Slip the Beat. Custom rule: once per scene, when an adjacent attacker misses, Géska may roll 2 dice to slip past or reposition. On a success, she moves out of immediate reach if the surroundings permit; the shackle may prevent a full escape.

  • Performance jewelry (improvised tool)Small brass rings, bangles, and toe-rings; one toe-ring can be twisted free and used as a crude sharp edge.

A sharpened sliver concealed in a toe-ring

Background

Géska was raised among traveling performers on Ryloth, where her aunt taught her to turn crowded market stages into a living map: exits, guards, sightlines, and the faces that looked too long. A performance contract took her troupe offworld. When the troupe's promoter sold its debts to a slaver, Géska was separated from the others and moved through several private collections under the label of a dancer. Her defining change came during a performance at a mining station: she saw a child being dragged away and broke formation to intervene. She was beaten, the child escaped, and the promoter tightened control over everyone else. Géska still thinks of that choice as both the bravest and most costly thing she has done. She is now imprisoned beneath a private entertainment house, waiting for transfer. She has quietly befriended Nima, a human kitchen runner who brings scraps and news, and she distrusts the house's keeper, Oru, who once danced in the same troupe and now insists there was no other way to survive. Géska is trying to learn the prison's shift changes and find out whether her aunt's troupe is still alive.

Role in the story

A captive with agency, useful knowledge, and a dangerous choice to make. The party can meet her as a prisoner to rescue, a wary collaborator, or the person who has already begun an escape plan and needs help deciding who can come with her.
