Appearance
Mikheil is a broad-shouldered human man with the compact strength of someone accustomed to carrying sacks, buckets, and sleeping children rather than training for tournaments. He moves with a careful, almost domestic quiet, placing each foot as if the floor might be occupied by a sleeping animal. His dark hair curls tightly at the temples and is usually tied with a faded blue thread. His hands are rough, square, and permanently scented with bay leaf, lamp oil, and iron. Within a minute of meeting him, most people notice that he rarely looks directly at whoever is speaking. Instead, his eyes travel to door hinges, unattended cups, roof beams, and the hands of everyone in the room. The unexpected contradiction is that this wary observer blushes violently when praised, then becomes almost painfully earnest about denying that he did anything brave.
“Soft, measured, and slightly formal, with rounded vowels and a habit of lowering his voice when discussing anything important. His anger does not make him louder.”

Distinguishing Features
His eyes constantly map the room, lingering on hands, doors, and unguarded supplies rather than faces.
A faded blue thread is tied around a lock of hair and is adjusted whenever he is anxious.
His shield bears dozens of tiny white tally marks, one for each person he has escorted safely through dangerous country.
He smells faintly of bay leaf, lamp oil, and wet iron.
He blushes dramatically when thanked or praised.
Voice
“A low, warm baritone with a careful cadence. He sounds as if every sentence has been carried uphill and should not be wasted.”
Clothing
A quilted rust-red gambeson beneath well-maintained chain mail, brown wool trousers tucked into cracked riding boots, a faded blue sash, and a sleeveless traveling coat patched with pieces of old grain sacks. His clothing is practical but unusually clean, because he believes looking neglected invites people to underestimate their own worth.
Body Language
He keeps his shield hand close to his ribs and repeatedly adjusts the blue thread in his hair without noticing. When listening, he angles his body toward the nearest exit while keeping his shoulders open to the speaker. He rubs his thumb over the rim of his shield whenever he is lying.
