Marn Ndimba
Fighter
Marn Ndimba
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
A thin, strong young half-orc woman with the compact musculature of someone who lifts and carries for a living. She moves carefully, placing each foot as though the floor might complain if she steps too hard, yet she can suddenly cross a room with startling speed. Her lower canines show when she smiles, making her shy grin look almost mischievous. Her hands are broad-knuckled and dusted with permanent traces of flour in the creases, despite her constant washing. She keeps her shoulders slightly hunched around strangers, but when someone is hurt or frightened, she straightens into a calm, capable presence. The unexpected contradiction is that her intimidating height and tusks frame an almost delicate manner: she knocks before entering empty rooms and apologizes to furniture when she bumps it.
“Her voice is low, careful, and slightly husky, with a soft pause before important words. She speaks Common formally and avoids contractions when nervous.”

Distinguishing Features
A shy smile that reveals one lower tusk and makes her look younger than she is.
A faint cinnamon-colored dusting permanently caught in the lines of her hands.
She tilts her head toward every speaker as if listening for the words beneath their words.
Her blue neckerchief is always folded into a perfect square and tucked into her vest pocket.
Before speaking, she gives a small, audible intake of breath, like someone preparing to lift a heavy object.
Voice
“A quiet contralto with a rough edge, like cloth dragged over unfinished wood. It becomes firmer rather than louder when she is angry.”
Clothing
She wears a clean cream-colored linen blouse, brown wool trousers, and a moss-green vest fastened with wooden toggles. Everything is well-made but deliberately plain. The cuffs have been invisibly re-stitched several times, and one trouser knee is patched from the inside. Her apron is always spotless except for one permanent crescent of cinnamon dust near the pocket. She over-cares for a tiny blue neckerchief that belonged to her cousin, washing it by hand and folding it into a precise square.
Body Language
Marn keeps her hands folded loosely at her waist, thumbs rubbing together whenever she is nervous. She angles her body sideways to seem less imposing and lowers her head when addressed by strangers. When someone vulnerable enters the room, she shifts subtly between them and the nearest exit. Her smile arrives late, but when it does, her whole face softens.
