Mardavaan Eirvashi
Species

Appearance
Mardavaan is a tall, narrow man whose movements are measured with the precision of a clock mechanism. His skin has the pale bronze tone of old parchment, interrupted by faint silver veins around his temples and wrists where the Imperial Mark's magic has entered his body. His hair is black at the roots but fades into iron-gray at the ends, as if age is slowly consuming it from below. He wears an expression of patient courtesy even while ordering executions. The strangest contradiction is his hands: the right is elegant, manicured, and perfumed, while the left is swollen, scarred, and permanently clenched around an invisible object. He leaves behind the impression of a beautifully maintained room in which something has recently died.
“His voice is low, clear, and almost soothing, with carefully lengthened vowels and an old courtly cadence. He never rushes a sentence.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin silver line runs from his left palm to the center of his chest.
His shadow occasionally raises its hand a moment before he does.
His left hand is permanently clenched around the invisible outline of the Imperial Mark.
He wears one green mourning thread associated with the elves, despite outlawing elven customs.
His reflection appears several years younger than his physical body.
Voice
“Measured and intimate, like a tutor explaining a lesson to a frightened child. His politeness becomes more precise as his anger rises. When he casts forbidden magic, his voice gains a faint second resonance that speaks the last word of each sentence in Elvish.”
Clothing
A high-collared ivory coat beneath layered robes of deep blue and tarnished gold, embroidered with imperial sunbursts that subtly resemble watching eyes. He wears soft leather boots, a thin coronet of dark electrum, and a single green thread tied around his left wrist, the traditional mourning color of the Serevan elves.
Body Language
He keeps his shoulders relaxed and his chin slightly lowered, creating the impression that he is listening even when he has already decided everything. His right hand makes small conducting motions whenever someone speaks. His left hand remains curled over the absent shape of the Imperial Mark. When genuinely surprised, he stops blinking.
