Saria
Divine Outsider
Saria
Species
Outsider
Appearance
Saria appears as a tall, composed outsider with the presence of someone who has entered a room moments after everyone else has fallen silent. Her skin has the matte texture of pale river clay, warm gray with faint rose undertones, and tiny hairline cracks appear across her knuckles whenever a nearby creature is close to death. Her black hair is worn in a simple shoulder-length braid, but individual strands drift upward as though suspended underwater. Her movements are exact and economical, with no wasted turn of the wrist or shift of the foot. She leaves behind the impression of cool incense, clean rain, and an empty chair. The contradiction is that her hands look delicate and almost fragile, yet anything she grasps seems suddenly burdened by the full weight of its own history.
“Measured, low, and unhurried. Saria pauses before names, never interrupts a confession, and speaks of death in the same tone others use for weather.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin vertical line of silver runs from the center of her lower lip to her chin.
Her shadow sometimes shows her seated beside a grave even when she is standing.
The braid in her hair is tied with a red thread that belonged to her brother.
Her fingerprints resemble tiny concentric circles, like ripples in still water.
Her reflection is always shown with closed eyes.
Voice
“A low contralto with a gentle rasp, like a temple bell heard through rain. Her voice carries no theatrical menace, yet listeners often feel that she has already considered every possible ending to the conversation.”
Clothing
A layered charcoal robe of heavy silk and funerary linen, fastened with bone-white cords and a plain bronze clasp. Beneath it she wears fitted traveling trousers and soft leather sandals. Her sleeves are embroidered with hundreds of tiny names, many of which have never appeared in any mortal record.
Body Language
Saria stands very still when listening, but one finger traces an invisible line across her palm whenever someone lies about a death. She turns her head before turning her eyes, as if every movement should be formally announced. In anger, she becomes gentler rather than harsher, which makes her displeasure more frightening.
