Bátor Kővári
Cleric, War Domain
Bátor Kővári
Species
Goliath
Appearance
Bátor is an immense goliath who seems less like a warrior built for battle than a fragment of a mountain taught to walk. His completely bald head is broad and smooth, with faint pale speckling across the scalp like lichen on granite. He wears layered plate armor so heavy-looking that ordinary soldiers instinctively give him room, yet he moves with deliberate quiet and surprising balance. His hands are enormous, square-palmed, and permanently roughened by years of climbing, masonry, weapon drills, and shrine work. He breathes through his nose in slow, measured pulls, and his voice normally arrives as a low, warm murmur. When angered, that breath catches into a dry clicking sound, while his next words become unnaturally soft. The contradiction is unsettling: he looks like an executioner, but has the patient, careful movements of a priest tending sleeping children.
“Normally low, patient, and resonant, with carefully chosen words and long pauses. His accent carries traces of Giant cadence, Hungarian vowel shapes, and clipped Japanese-like precision.”

Distinguishing Features
His eyes are deep brown with tiny amber flecks, and they remain remarkably attentive even when his face is expressionless.
His bare scalp is dusted with pale natural speckles resembling fine stone grain.
His breathing is slow and audible in quiet rooms, but changes to a dry clicking intake when he is rattled.
The skin of his palms is thick and ridged from years of climbing and stonework, while his fingertips are unusually careful and sensitive.
His massive shield bears hundreds of tiny vertical notches, one for each person he has escorted safely through a mountain pass.
Voice
“A deep, resonant baritone that seems to come from his chest and the floor beneath him. He speaks gently when calm, with an unexpectedly precise rhythm. When rattled, he inhales with a faint dry click and lowers his voice to a near-whisper, forcing everyone nearby to become quiet to hear him.”
Clothing
Dull silver-gray plate armor over dark wool padding, a copper prayer cord wrapped around his left wrist, thick mountain boots, a weather-stained blue cloak pinned with a stone disc, and a broad shield painted with a single white vertical line
Body Language
Bátor stands with his shield arm slightly forward, making himself a wall without appearing threatening. He lowers his head when listening, not from submission but to bring his eyes nearer to the speaker. His thumb repeatedly rubs the edge of his mace's grip when he is worried. When truly furious, he becomes motionless and stops blinking for several seconds.
