Vasketa Gerez
Druid, Circle of the Land
Vasketa Gerez
Species
Wood Elf
Appearance
Vasketa Gerez is beautiful in the unsettling way of a forest pool that reflects a face a moment too late. Her features are fine and angular, with high cheekbones, a narrow chin, and ears notched by old frostbite. Her skin has the matte texture of pale birch bark, but freckles of green-gold appear across her shoulders whenever she casts a spell. Her movements are quiet without being delicate. She plants each foot with deliberate pressure, as if testing whether the world will hold her. Her hands are long-fingered and permanently stained dark beneath the nails from digging roots and handling charcoal. A thin scar crosses her throat, yet she wears no collar or scarf, making the injury conspicuous. She leaves people with the impression that she has just heard something beneath the floorboards that they cannot hear.
“Low, clear, and carefully paced. She often pauses before nouns, as if choosing the most accurate word, and becomes almost whisper-quiet when angry.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar circles her throat like a loose necklace.
Green-gold freckles bloom across her skin when she casts nature magic.
Her left canine tooth is slightly longer than the right, giving her smile a fleeting predatory quality.
A tiny seed lies beneath the skin of her tongue and glows faintly when she lies.
She carries the scent of rain on stone even in dry weather.
Voice
“A low, precise contralto with a dry warmth beneath it, like water moving under ice.”
Clothing
A moss-green wool coat sewn with strips of pale hide, layered over a sleeveless linen tunic and fitted charcoal trousers. Copper pins hold medicinal pouches to her belt. Her boots are wrapped in bark fiber, and one sleeve is patched with bright red cloth from a child's festival banner.
Body Language
She stands slightly turned away from people, giving her attention to the surrounding terrain. When angry, she becomes motionless rather than animated, and tiny roots often gather around her boots. When amused, one corner of her mouth lifts while her eyes remain solemn.
