Tomasz has a broad, practical face, a watchful brow, and the slightly stunned look of someone who is still learning the dimensions of his own body. Sparse dark stubble roughens his jaw and catches at his upper lip. He moves with the efficient, measured turns of a warehouse worker making room for a pallet, but his newer strength sometimes sends a door or pack swinging farther than intended. His hands are callused at the heel and across the fingers from lifting and tying loads; he tests unfamiliar objects with a quick, workmanlike squeeze. People tend to remember his pauses before speaking, as if he is checking the weight of a sentence before he carries it.

Practical and quick to adapt, Tomasz is good at noticing what people are not saying, yet he dislikes being made responsible for every unspoken need. He can be wry and generous in ordinary company, then sharply unyielding when someone presumes to define his experience. He remembers his previous body without longing to be returned to it; he is still adjusting to the bodily changes and may be patient with honest questions but furious at confident explanations. Under pressure he becomes brisk and useful; when safe, he can be unexpectedly playful.

Before the incident, Tomasz worked in warehouse logistics in the United States, tracking goods, solving bottlenecks, and noticing when a shipment's story did not match its weight. He woke in 867 AD among communities in lands now associated with Poland, with no familiar road back and no explanation for his changed body. He remembers having lived in a woman's body before; he now understands himself as male, and the unfamiliar strength, facial hair, sweat, appetite, energy, and mood shifts are facts he is learning to manage rather than a mystery he welcomes strangers to interpret. The Ashen Seven gathered around the same rupture, but their scattered fellowship is often more rumor than camp. Tomasz became its Road-Keeper by making routes between settlements, carrying messages, and keeping people from walking blindly into danger. A formative loss came when he misjudged a flooded crossing and a messenger was swept away. Since then, he checks crossings twice and refuses to call a route safe just because someone powerful wants it to be. He is currently trying to find a missing Ashen Seven member while negotiating for winter passage with local families who have good reason to distrust strangers.
