The wagon sits crooked in the mud, one wheel sunk deep and black oil leaking beneath it. Two robed acolytes step from the thorn hedge as a pale scribe rises through the cargo bed, quill scratching across the wood without touching it. The ravine below flashes with a hidden sigil, and the air around it begins to hum.

A shallow ravine drops 6 feet below the road, screened by thorn hedges.
Terrain Levers
- Climb onto the stalled wagon for high ground.
- Overturn a cargo crate to create half cover.
- Ignite the spilled oil: creatures entering it or ending their turn there take 5 fire damage; the flames spread 5 feet each round.
- Shove a foe toward the shallow ravine; a creature that falls lands prone and takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage.
- Cut the thorn hedge to open a flank, or force movement through it at half speed.
