Sava
Fighter, Battle Master with custom Winter Smoke martial techniques
Sava
Species
Bear beast-person
Appearance
Sava is a towering bear-woman with dark russet fur dusted silver around the muzzle and shoulders. Her fur is dense enough to hold frost in its outer hairs, giving her the appearance of carrying a pale rim of winter even indoors. She moves with unnerving economy, placing each foot as carefully as if crossing thin ice, then exploding into sudden, brutal speed when she attacks. Her broad face is stern rather than monstrous, with a small brass bead threaded through one lower lip. She smells faintly of pine tar, hot iron, and cinnamon tea, and she is unaware that the tea has soaked into her gloves and cloak over years. The unexpected softness of her appearance is a pair of carefully painted pink nails, refreshed every morning by the palace laundress.
“Her voice is low, dry, and resonant, like stones shifting under ice. She speaks with careful pauses and a faint mountain cadence.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass bead hangs from her lower lip and clicks softly against her teeth when she thinks.
The outer tips of her fur hold frost even beside a fire.
Her armor is repaired with conspicuous red thread in neat geometric patterns.
She wears immaculate pink nail lacquer despite maintaining a warrior's rough, callused hands.
She carries her father's oversized left glove tucked into her sash.
A thin line of pale fur circles her neck like a winter collar, naturally formed and sharply defined.
Voice
“A deep contralto with a rough edge, calm enough to make threats sound like weather reports and warm enough to make rare praise feel physically significant.”
Clothing
She wears smoke-gray lamellar armor over a quilted indigo coat, with copper plates stitched over the heart and throat. The armor is practical but repeatedly repaired with bright red thread, each repair left visible as a record of battles survived. Her left glove is too large and hangs loose at the wrist, an old gift from her dead father that she refuses to replace. A heavy wool sash carries a tea flask, sealing wax, and three tiny whetstones.
Body Language
Sava stands with her weight slightly forward, as if perpetually leaning into a strong wind. When listening, she lowers her head until one ear points directly at the speaker. Before making a threat, she smooths the fur along her left forearm. When genuinely pleased, she taps two claws against her hammer's haft in a patient rhythm.
