Mzekezeke Nanduri
Fighter, Battle Master
Mzekezeke Nanduri
Species
Elf
Appearance
Mzekezeke is a long-limbed moon elf with the careful posture of someone who learned to sleep in armor. He favors his left heel when he walks, not from injury but from an old habit of testing floorboards before trusting them. Within a minute of meeting him, most people notice that his eyes rarely settle on faces. They travel instead to hands, exits, ceiling beams, and the reflections in polished bottles. His skin has the muted bronze tone of old worked copper, textured at the knuckles from years of rope, sword grips, and barrel hoops. His hair is silver at the temples but black through the braid down his back. He moves with startling quiet for a man who spends his days carrying kegs. The contradictory impression is that he looks delicate enough to be a court musician, yet he can lift a full ale cask alone and set it down without spilling the foam.
“His voice is low, dry, and carefully paced, with an unexpected upward stress on the second syllable of many names. He sounds like a courteous host even when delivering a threat.”

Distinguishing Features
His left-heel-first gait makes his steps sound fractionally out of time.
A narrow copper ring is braided into the end of his hair, engraved with the names of the eleven people killed in the fire.
He has a habit of turning every bottle label inward except one black ceramic bottle kept beneath the bar.
His hands are unusually gentle with frightened animals and unusually firm with anyone who lies to a child.
He keeps the tavern's old bell rope cut short, so only he can reach it without climbing onto the bar.
Voice
“A low, dry baritone that stays calm under pressure. He speaks softly enough to make people lean closer, then places unusual emphasis on names and verbs. When truly furious, he stops using contractions and sounds almost ceremonial.”
Clothing
A russet waistcoat over a cream linen shirt, dark green trousers, soft-soled boots, and a faded guard's sash worn beneath his apron. His old chain shirt hangs in a locked cabinet behind the bar. A small brass key is stitched into his right cuff.
Body Language
He stands with one shoulder angled toward the nearest exit and keeps his left hand open, palm down, near his belt. When relaxed, he taps two fingers against the bar in an uneven rhythm. When lying, he becomes perfectly still.
