Fira
Fira
At the table
Voice
Her voice has a dry, lightly rough edge, shaped by loud performance halls and months of close stone walls. She has a short intake before she speaks when she is deciding whether a listener is safe. When angered, she becomes faster and more exact rather than softer.
She speaks Basic in clipped, deliberate phrases, with a faint rasp from dry air and the dust of the cells. Her consonants are precise, as if she learned to make herself understood over music and engine noise. Before a difficult answer she takes one measured breath through her nose, then starts with the most useful fact.

How to play them
Treat Fira as a person with agency, not as a prize or a helpless informant. Give her room to decide what she shares. She is more likely to cooperate when a plan includes other captives and a credible route out; grand promises and pity make her withdraw.
Goal
Get the captive prisoners out alive, then learn whether Pemm is truly looking for her.
Motivation
Fira wants to turn the knowledge she has gathered into a real escape, without leaving the slower or weaker captives behind.
Appearance
Fira is a young Twi'lek with rich rubis-red skin, satin sheen along her cheekbones, and amber eyes flecked with copper. Her two deep-red lekku fall over one shoulder, one threaded with tiny brass rings. She sits barefoot on a stone bench with a dancer's trained balance folded into an exhausted slouch; even at rest, she seems to know exactly where every chain and doorway lies. Her dusty soles, chipped dark nail polish, and blunt, spiked nail guards contrast with the precise placement of her hands. A surprising detail for a captive dancer: she has memorized the prison's inventory marks and can identify a tool by the sound it makes when set down. The impression she leaves is of someone worn down but not yet made careless.
Clothing
A torn remnant of a once-pristine dancer's crop top, sapphire performance wraps, and a translucent, ragged sarong secured by ornate brass clasps. She wears a carved restraint collar, stacked bangles, and armbands. Heavy engraved ankle shackles are tethered by long chains to a wall ring. The clothing is damaged and practical only by necessity, not a deliberate display.
Body language
She keeps her shoulders lowered and her weight centered, conserving energy while remaining ready to pivot. Her lekku shift a fraction before she answers a dangerous question. When she decides she trusts someone, she turns one palm upward rather than reaching for them.

Personality
12 traits and drivesFira is watchful and resourceful, yet uncomfortable being treated as the clever one in a group. She can be gentle with frightened captives and cutting with anyone who speaks as if escape were simple. In a quiet moment she shares dry humor; under pressure she becomes controlled and procedural, counting steps instead of admitting fear. Her patience is both a survival skill and a source of shame.
- Alignment
- Protective of other captives, wary of authority, and willing to deceive those who profit from cruelty.

Combat
HP 12Fira avoids a fair fight. She uses cover, thrown distractions, and the room's chains or furniture to create a route to escape or protect another captive. If forced into close combat, she targets balance and uses quick strikes to break contact. She will not attack someone who is clearly trying to free prisoners unless they threaten the group.

Background
Fira grew up among itinerant performers on a modest freighter, learning dance as both livelihood and a way to read a room. During a performance stop, an employer sold her contract to a local crime boss who ran an illegal detention and labor operation. Her most formative moment came when a fellow captive tried to rush a guard and was beaten while the others watched. Fira chose to memorize the guards' shift changes rather than make a doomed escape attempt; she still hates herself for surviving by waiting. She now quietly trades small observations with other prisoners and has begun mapping the service passages. Her former troupe's quartermaster, Pemm, may still be searching for her, but she does not know whether he has the means or the courage to help.
Role in the story
A prisoner with hard-earned knowledge of the detention site who can become an ally, a moral test, or the catalyst for a group escape.
