Mivra
Mivra
At the table
Voice
A clear, dry voice shaped by hot dust and long hours calling prices across a crowded stall. There is a faint rasp at the edge of some syllables from the desert air, while the rhythm stays measured and nimble, as if each sentence were being fitted into a small space.
They speak in clear, carefully placed Basic, with the clipped precision of someone who has spent years naming tiny flaws in jewelry and the practiced timing of a market seller. Their Ryl carries the quick, fluid turns of home. They avoid shouting over customers, preferring a well-timed pause or a pointed question.
Speech patterns
How to play them
Treat Mivra as a sharp-eyed vendor first, not as a helpless captive. She tests whether visitors notice the shackle and how they respond to it. Offer practical help, discretion, or information about safe passage; do not demand that she trust you immediately. She is more likely to cooperate if a plan accounts for Hessa and the other workers.
Goal
Obtain travel papers and leverage to free themself, Hessa, and two other workers before Daro sells the stall.
Motivation
Freedom that does not require abandoning the people who helped her survive.
Appearance
Mivra is a young sapphire-blue Twi'lek with a supple, conditioned dancer's build, narrow shoulders, and powerful calves. She sits on a low stool behind her jewelry stall, legs stretched across its upper shelf and ankles crossed, soles turned toward the aisle; the pose looks languid until the tension in her calves gives away how quickly she can move. Her skin has a satin sheen beneath the desert dust, and her warm amber eyes are flecked with copper. Deep indigo lekku, rooted in black-violet, fall over her shoulders; tiny brass rings are threaded along one. Small, carefully placed facial piercings catch the lantern light. She takes up more space than her slight frame suggests, arranging herself like a dancer claiming a stage, and leaves the impression of stillness held just before a leap.
Clothing
Translucent layered sapphire fabrics over a practical dancer's wrap, secured with brass clasps. She wears a carved collar, ornate armbands, stacked bangles, thigh ornaments, calf bands, heavy anklets, toe rings, and delicate ankle chains. The finery is partly sales display and partly the costume her owner expects her to wear. A heavy shackle circles her left ankle, its chain running behind the stall.
Body language
She leans forward as if the conversation has already become interesting, even when she is wary. Her feet are usually crossed on the shelf, but one calf stays taut against the shackle. When thinking, she checks the tiny brass ring on her left lekku with her thumb. She makes deliberate, economical movements, then suddenly occupies the exact space someone hoped to pass through.

Personality
12 traits and drivesMivra is watchful but not joyless, generous with small practical kindnesses yet merciless in a negotiation. She can be warm when children or craftspeople are near, and sharply businesslike when someone assumes her smile means consent. In danger she gets more decisive, not louder; after danger passes, she can become stubbornly withdrawn because she hates being treated as a rescued possession.
- Alignment
- Pragmatic and compassionate, with a hard-earned distrust of anyone who calls ownership protection.

She uses cover, crowds, stall fixtures, and sudden repositioning to create an escape lane, firing only to make pursuers hesitate. Background
Mivra was born in a dry, dust-choked settlement on a minor desert world, where her family repaired costume fittings and jewelry for traveling performers. As a child she learned to spot a bad clasp by touch and to remember faces by the way they watched a room. A slaver raid scattered her family; she was sold into service to a market-holder who valued her eye for craftsmanship and her ability to draw customers without seeming to. The first time she tried to flee, a buyer's child was caught in the panic and nearly trampled. Mivra turned back to pull the child free. The experience changed her: she stopped mistaking escape for the same thing as freedom, and began planning for a way out that would not leave others to pay for it. Now she sells jewelry from a stall in the Rill-and-Rock bazaar, keeping its stock immaculate and quietly identifying who is trapped, indebted, or being watched. Her owner, Daro, expects her to earn enough to justify her keep; the stall's neighboring vendor, Hessa, risks her own license to pass Mivra scraps of information. Mivra is trying to secure forged travel papers and enough leverage to free herself and two other workers before Daro sells the stall and its staff to a passing crew.
