Sava Theska
Guardian
Sava Theska
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Sava has a youthful human face softened by round cheeks, a small chin, and an earnest smile that appears too quickly for someone built like a brawler. Her orcish heritage shows in the broad bridge of her nose, two short ivory tusks, heavy shoulders, and powerful forearms. She moves with the careful balance of someone accustomed to narrow rafters and crowded kitchens, keeping her elbows tucked in so she does not knock things over. Three pale, permanent scars cross the outside of her left forearm in neat parallel lines, like claw marks made by a metal rake. The unexpected contrast is her hands: broad, callused, and visibly strong, yet usually occupied with delicate work such as mending lace, trimming herbs, or polishing a teacup. Within a minute of meeting her, most people notice that her eyes rarely settle on the speaker's face. They watch exits, hands, belts, windows, and the empty space behind everyone in the room.
“Her voice is low, warm, and slightly rough, with carefully pronounced consonants. She speaks slowly when trying to calm someone and very precisely when angry.”

Distinguishing Features
Two small ivory tusks show when she smiles, giving her an unexpectedly sweet expression.
Her eyes constantly map exits, hands, and concealed weapons instead of maintaining normal eye contact.
Three parallel scars mark the outside of her left forearm, pale against her skin and regularly rubbed with salve.
A brass thimble hangs from her wrist and clicks softly against her bracelets when she moves.
She carries herself like someone trying very hard not to frighten the room.
Voice
“A gentle contralto with a dry rasp at the edges, like warm tea poured over gravel. Her laugh is unexpectedly bright and nearly silent.”
Clothing
A faded plum wool vest over a cream linen shirt, reinforced brown trousers, soft-soled boots, and a green scarf repaired many times with mismatched thread. She wears a battered canvas satchel across her chest, the strap polished smooth where her thumb constantly passes over it. A brass thimble hangs from a cord around her wrist.
Body Language
Sava stands with her weight slightly forward, as if ready to step between danger and someone smaller than herself. She curls two fingers against her palm when lying, rubs the worn edge of a little brass thimble when anxious, and tilts her head down rather than up when attempting to seem nonthreatening. When truly furious, she becomes very still and looks at a person's hands.
