Sera Moss
Commoner-Quartermaster
Sera Moss
Species
Human
Appearance
Lean and narrow-shouldered, Sera moves like a quill dragged across damp parchment, quick and slightly impatient, as if every step has already been accounted for. Her hands are ink-stained at the fingertips and roughened by rope, crate nails, and coin edges. She wears an immaculate apron over practical slate-gray layers, but the apron hem is patched with tiny slips of oilcloth and sewn-in pockets, each one labeled in minuscule script. One ear is adorned with a bright copper hoop that catches the lantern light, oddly cheerful against her severe expression. The contradiction that people remember is that she smells faintly of lemon cakes and lamp black at the same time.
“Quick, precise, and low-voiced, as though every sentence is part of a transaction. She uses ledger metaphors constantly, and when she is angry her words become even cleaner and more formal, like a contract being read aloud.”

Distinguishing Features
A ledger so heavily annotated that its margins look like a second text.
Tiny burn scars on the left thumb and forefinger from sealing wax accidents.
A mole at the base of the throat shaped like a comma.
A habit of wearing one glove inside out when she expects trouble.
Voice
“Dry, quick, and faintly sardonic, with the cadence of someone always closing a deal.”
Clothing
A charcoal linen shirt, fitted dark trousers, soft boots repaired at the toes, and a patched apron full of hidden pockets. She wears a narrow belt with a keyring, wax seal, and knife sheath, all arranged with obsessive order.
Body Language
Her shoulders stay squared behind the counter, but her head tilts like a sparrow whenever she is listening for lies. She taps two fingers against the ledger when irritated and smooths the same page when thinking. When she trusts someone, she leans in close and lowers her voice instead of stepping back.
