Kazi Tallibast
Fighter, Battle Master
Kazi Tallibast
Species
Leonin
Appearance
Kazi Tallibast stands 6 feet 5 inches tall, a broad-shouldered leonine veteran whose dark caramel fur has faded to pale gold around the muzzle and forearms. His golden brown eyes are steady and tired, and a clean scar cuts across his left eye without damaging the eye itself. His mane is thick, black at the roots and sun-bleached at the tips, usually bound low with red cord so it does not obscure his vision. He moves with a measured, slightly favoring gait, as though every step is placed on a battlefield map only he can see. Despite his size, he is unnervingly quiet, often appearing beside people without them hearing him approach. The contradiction is that his hands are huge and callused like a laborer's, yet he handles cups, letters, and wounded animals with exquisite gentleness.
“Low, measured, and resonant, with a faint coastal cadence. Kazi speaks in short sentences during danger and longer, careful explanations when discussing the dead.”

Distinguishing Features
A scar crosses his left eye from temple to upper cheek, but the eye remains clear and watchful.
His mane is tied low with red cord, giving his silhouette the shape of a hooded standard from a distance.
He moves almost soundlessly despite his size.
His tail is unusually short and thick, ending in a blunt tuft from an old childhood accident involving a threshing wheel.
His presence makes nearby conversation soften without anyone consciously deciding to lower their voice.
Voice
“A deep baritone with a roughened warmth, like a wooden hull creaking under a calm tide. His battle commands are startlingly clear, while his apologies are nearly whispers.”
Clothing
A sleeveless charcoal brigandine reinforced with overlapping bronze scales, a weather-stained ochre cloak, dark linen trousers, and split-toed leather boots made for wet decks. He wears a narrow red cord around one wrist, retied every morning, and a simple brass cooking spoon hangs from his belt beside his weapon.
Body Language
Kazi keeps his shoulders angled slightly away from crowds, making room for others even when there is no need. His left paw often rests near Carver's grip, not possessively but as if checking whether the weapon is still there. When angry, he becomes almost perfectly still. When grieving, the tip of his tail taps once against the floor at regular intervals.
