Hold the Sluice Before It Floods Shut
Read Aloud
Water slaps hard against the temple walls as the sluice chamber starts to flood. A reef hunter hisses from the far arch while something unseen moves under the surface, dragging a wake toward the altar steps. The tide lock wheel groans, and the back exit is already beginning to drown.

Battlefield Zones
1
Main Sluice Hall
Submerged temple hall. Knee-deep water, broken statuary, and slick mosaic floors. A pressure plate sits under the central saint tile.
2
Tide Lock Passage
Coral-packed side passage with a rotating tide lock. One wet door can be opened to drain or flood the hall.
3
Altar Steps
Raised altar platform with a basin that fills fast. Safe for now, then the water cuts off the back route.
Terrain Levers
- Turn the tide lock wheel to open or seal a corridor
- Kick a cracked mosaic plate to drop a slab bridge into place
- Climb the air shaft grates to reach higher ground or break line of sight
