Rogue Courier

Appearance
A young woman with a stillness that makes the empty town seem to move around her. She waits with her weight balanced on the balls of her feet, one heel lifted slightly as if the next road has already called her name. Her movements are economical and gliding, but when she turns, her courier satchel swings in a broad, almost theatrical arc. The most striking contradiction is that her face looks soft and openly kind, while her posture has the patient severity of a trained sentry. Dust gathers along the hem of her coat in pale bands, yet her hands remain meticulously clean. In the blue-gray light, she appears less like a traveler than a dark figure cut from a piece of folded paper, carrying one small point of warm amber light beneath her ribs.
“Her voice is low, clear, and gently rounded, with a faint river-city cadence. Before speaking, she takes a small breath through her nose and lets it out as if testing the air.”

Distinguishing Features
A tiny brass bead is woven into the end of her braid and clicks softly against her collar whenever she turns.
She has an unusual habit of standing on the edges of pale, circular paving stones rather than their centers.
Her left glove is always dusted with blue sealing powder, leaving faint color on anything she touches.
She smells faintly of rainwater, paper glue, and crushed fennel.
Her expression remains gentle even when she is making a decision that will ruin someone's plans.
Voice
“Soft, low, and measured, with a gentle river-city cadence and a faintly rounded Greek or Romani-influenced sound texture”
Clothing
A short charcoal traveling coat with a high collar, faded blue lining, and reinforced seams at the shoulders. Beneath it she wears a cream linen shirt, fitted brown trousers, soft-soled gray boots, and a narrow green sash bearing no visible emblem. Her gloves are mismatched, one linen and one thin leather, because she claims each gives better grip for a different kind of lock.
Body Language
She stands slightly angled toward the nearest exit, with her left hand resting on the satchel strap and her right thumb brushing the edge of her sealed message tube. When listening, she tilts her head as if measuring distance rather than meaning. Under stress, she becomes unnervingly still except for one heel rising and lowering in a slow rhythm.
