Azkhar steps onto the fractured altar, greataxe dragging sparks from the stone. Five pale wraiths rise through the platform as the shard flares inside its rune-carved socket. The edges break away into a widening abyss of white light, and the whole nexus lurches beneath your feet.

The Shard Socket
The rune-carved socket holds the largest shard. The containment sphere flickers whenever it is unattended.

The Broken Altar
Broken altar slabs form three uneven lanes. At the start of each round, one random square shifts violently.

The Light Edge
The platform ends in a radiant abyss. Open edges expand by 5 feet after each round.
Terrain Levers
- A creature adjacent to the socket can spend an action to stabilize it with a DC 15 Intelligence (Arcana) check.
- A cracked altar pillar can be toppled with a DC 15 Strength check, creating half cover in a 10-foot line.
- A creature can leap a 5-foot gap with a DC 12 Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check.
