The Thornpath Ambush Cache

The defeated Bramble Mass collapses into a heap of wet leaves and splintered briars, revealing a hollow beneath its roots. Inside lies the scattered remains of an older traveler's cache, protected from the worst of the forest's decay by dense thornwood. The Thornlings had gathered the useful supplies there, along with strange botanical growths drawn from the Bramble Mass itself. Most of the finds are practical rather than luxurious, but the restorative potion, antitoxin, gemstones, and unusual plant materials make the cache a worthwhile prize for a fourth-level adventuring party. Nothing suggests that the beasts wore or carried conventional armor or weapons.
