FAQ
Does this generator support Pathfinder 2E hazards?
Yes. The default structure is built around Pathfinder 2E-style hazards, including level, simple vs complex behavior, stealth or discovery cues, disable text, trigger logic, and defensive stats where they make sense.
Can I use it for traps outside PF2e?
Yes. Pathfinder 2E is the default framing, but you can choose another game system or add instructions to tilt the output toward broader fantasy trap design.
What kind of hazards can it create?
Mechanical traps, magical wards, environmental dangers, haunted rooms, cursed relic defenses, guardian set-pieces, and hybrid hazards all work well.
What is the CharGen Hazard Generator?
The CharGen Hazard Generator is an AI tool that builds traps, magical wards, environmental hazards, and complex set-piece dangers for tabletop RPG encounters in under 30 seconds. Built for Pathfinder 2E first but compatible with D&D 5E and system-agnostic fantasy, each generated hazard includes a thematic name, mechanical trigger logic (proximity, weight, magic detection), simple or complex hazard scaling with appropriate level and DCs, defenses (AC, saves, hardness), countermeasures and disable conditions, and the lore that explains why the hazard exists.
Unlike static trap tables, every hazard arrives with situational flavor — the location it suits, the faction or NPC that planted it, and 1-3 adventure hooks for incorporating it into a dungeon, ruin, or wilderness encounter. Outputs save to the World Codex and export to PDF. Free tier; richer hazards and premium models on Plus and above.
