Getting the Most from Nano Banana 2.1
- Step 1
Write the whole brief in one prompt
Nano Banana 2.1 follows long instructions closely. Name the subject, the setting, the light, and any text that must appear in the image.
- Step 2
Draft at 1K, then raise the resolution
1K costs 6 gold, 2K costs 9 gold, and 4K costs 19 gold. Use 1K while you are still changing the prompt. Switch to 2K or 4K for the version you will keep.
- Step 3
Say what must stay the same
For an edit, state the change first, then what to keep. Example: replace the cloak with a blue travel cloak, and keep the face, hair, and pose.
- Step 4
Use search only when the prompt needs current facts
Web Search and Image Search each add to the gold cost. Leave them off for invented characters and places.
What You Can Make
Character portraits and party art
Keep the same face and gear across a series of scenes, outfits, and tokens.
Signs, maps, and labels
Put short, exact wording in the image. Quote the text in the prompt and say where it sits.
Reference edits
Change clothing, weather, or background while the person or product stays recognizable. Add extra images when the edit needs a second subject or a garment from another picture.
