Silas 'Ohm' Vesper
Commoner (Engineer)
Silas 'Ohm' Vesper
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Silas looks as though he were carved from obsidian and then weathered by a sandstorm of glass. His skin is a dull, matte black that catches the iridescent light of the prismatic smoke in strange, oily rainbows. His horns are thick and ribbed like ram horns, but the tips have been capped with conductive copper filigree that constantly emits tiny, silent blue sparks. He moves with a jerky, stop-motion gait, his limbs twitching in a rhythmic cycle that players might realize matches the pulse of the town's Gilded Capacitor. His most contradictory feature is his hands: while they shake violently when at rest, they become eerily, perfectly still the moment they touch a piece of copper machinery.
“Silas speaks with a rasping, breathless cadence, often punctuating his sentences with a hum that mimics the pitch of the nearby machinery. He uses technical jargon mixed with religious reverence.”

Distinguishing Features
Copper-capped sparking horns
Severe, rhythmic hand tremors known as the Vesper Shakes
Fingerprints that have been burned smooth from years of electrical work
A tail that reflexively coils around copper pipes or table legs
Voice
“A dry, metallic rasp, like a file being pulled over copper pipe.”
Clothing
He wears a heavy, stained leather engineer's apron over frayed wool tunics. The apron is lined with thin lead plates to dampen the ambient electrical hum. Dozens of small glass vials and copper spanners hang from a utility belt, clinking together like wind chimes.
Body Language
Silas is constantly leaning toward the nearest wall or pipe, listening with his head tilted. His tail twitches in perfect sync with his hand tremors.
