Appearance
Eldra Valewind is tall in the way of old trees, lean as a drawn bowstring, and seems assembled from angles and pauses rather than soft human motion. Her dark green cloak is weathered smooth at the elbows and hem, yet the lining is stitched with immaculate silver thread that catches candlelight like frost on spider silk. One sleeve is patched with coarse inncloth, a practical repair that clashes with the elegant leaf-shaped clasp at her throat. Her left hand is missing the tip of the ring finger, and she unconsciously tucks that hand inside her belt when listening. She wears a narrow travel knife at her hip, but it is kept so clean and ritualized that it looks more ceremonial than dangerous. The oddest thing about her is a small brass bell tied into her braid that never rings unless she wants it to.
“Soft, deliberate, and economical, with each sentence shaped like a field note. She rarely wastes words, but when she does speak at length, it is usually to explain danger, terrain, or the cost of a bad decision.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass bell braided into her hair that she uses to mark safe paths and warning signs
The missing tip of her left ring finger
Silver-stitched inner cloak lining that contrasts with her rough exterior
A habit of carrying chalk dust on her fingers from marking routes
An unnervingly steady gaze that makes liars feel measured
Voice
“Low, clear, and restrained, with the calm confidence of someone who has already measured the distance to the nearest exit.”
Clothing
A moss-gray travel cloak over a dark fitted tunic, soft leather bracers, travel trousers reinforced at the knees, waterproof boots with thin soles, and a utility belt loaded with cord, chalk, a whetstone, and trail markers
Body Language
Eldra stands still in a way that makes stillness feel active, with her weight always balanced and her head tilting slightly as though tracking invisible traffic. When she senses a lie, her eyes do not widen; instead, she blinks once and touches the brass bell in her braid.
