Altima Guild House
The Altima Guild House is a commanding five-story edifice of reinforced grey stone and polished mahogany. The ground floor serves as the public hub, bustling with merchants, sell-swords, and clerks. Large stained-glass windows depict the founding of the city, casting colorful light across the marble floors. The second and third floors offer modest yet clean dormitory-style housing for members, while the fourth floor is dedicated to specialized archives and committee rooms. The final floor is a restricted zone, housing the Guild Leader's private residence and the high council's chambers.

Altima Guild House
The air is a mix of old parchment, expensive tobacco, and the faint, static-like scent of ozone coming from the portal circle. It is a place of organized chaos where the clatter of coins and the murmurs of negotiations never truly stop.

Silas is a man of few words and extreme punctuality. He values efficiency above all else and has little patience for adventurers who cause more collateral damage than the reward is worth.
History
Membership and Ranking
Membership requires a sponsor and a one-time fee of 500 gold pieces. Members are ranked from Bronze to Platinum. Only Gold-rank members and above are permitted to use the residential suites on the third floor or access the high-level portal network. Ranking is earned by completing contracts and donating a 10 percent cut of all spoils to the guild coffers.
Active High-Stakes Contracts
Current contracts for veteran adventurers include the recovery of a lost sky-ship in the Dragonspine Mountains, the assassination of a rogue mage-slayer operating in the capital, and a standing bounty for any information regarding the cult of the Bleeding Sun. These contracts are restricted to parties of level 10 or higher due to the extreme lethality involved.
Guild Bank Security
The bank utilizes several layers of defense including Glyphs of Warding, an Antimagic Field that can be triggered by a foot pedal, and two Shield Guardians that stand motionless by the main vault door. Withdrawals over 5,000 gold pieces require a twenty-four hour notice and a verified wax seal from a Guild Officer.

A sharp-eyed dwarf with a prosthetic copper hand. She can calculate exchange rates for a dozen different currencies in seconds and never forgets a face.
A nervous but highly organized human who manages the paperwork for most high-level contracts. He is the primary point of contact for parties looking for work.
Rumors & Plot Hooks

- 2.Silas Vane keeps a captured beholder in the basement to help 'observe' every floor through hidden magical sensors.
- 3.There is a hidden sixth floor accessible only by a secret lever in the Guild Leader's bathtub.
Classified Entry
The guild bank is actually operating at a massive deficit because the previous administration lost a fortune in an ill-advised expedition to the Underdark. Silas is currently using the portal fees to quietly pay off the guild's massive debts to the iron throne.
