Arcane Defenses
The master study and the primary vault are lined with a thin layer of lead to prevent magical detection and teleportation. For a level 7 party, spells like Dimension Door will fail if targeted into these reinforced areas. Glyphs of Warding set to trigger Hold Person or Stinking Cloud are hidden beneath the rugs in the main gallery to deter intruders.
The Hidden Thoroughfare
A network of narrow, dim passages runs behind the main walls, allowing servants to move between rooms without being seen. Access points are disguised as decorative wood panels and require a successful DC 18 Intelligence (Investigation) check to locate. These tunnels lead directly to the kitchen, the laundry, and a secret exit in the stables.
The Glass Conservatory
A massive iron and glass structure attached to the east wing. It houses exotic, carnivorous plants imported from the southern jungles. Some of these plants, specifically the Midnight Creepers, have been trained to release paralyzing spores if an unauthorized creature enters the conservatory after the sun sets.
