The Oasis Heart

Beneath the oasis, a dead star still drinks the desert.

10 roomsThis is the under dungeon located on the basement of an old abandoned mage tower in Netheril. The tower is now in de desert of Anauroch in one oasismedium

Beneath an abandoned Netherese mage tower lies a sealed system of prisons, archives, and arcane cooling chambers. The dungeon draws water from the oasis above, but centuries of magical contamination have awakened an intelligence buried within the tower's power core. Deeper passages distort distance, gravity, and memory as the failing system prepares to release its master.

The dungeon is hot, damp, and unnaturally alive. Mineral-rich water trickles through black stone, carrying a bitter metallic smell, while distant machinery groans beneath the oasis. Blue Netherese sigils flicker through dust-choked darkness, and every deep chamber trembles with the slow pulse of the buried arcane core.

☠ Threat

The dungeon's deepest chamber contains Vael Turog's damaged miniature mythallar, now inhabited by the mage's fractured consciousness and linked to Nhalass, the buried oasis intelligence. The entity is awakening through poisoned water and unstable magic. It seeks either a living host or enough power to invert the cooling system, boiling the oasis and awakening every buried relic beneath the desert.

History

The tower was raised by Vael Turog, a Netherese hydromancer who sought to create a permanent oasis in Anauroch. Beneath the tower, he built a cooling network around a miniature mythallar and bound an ancient desert intelligence to regulate water, sand, and magical heat. When Vael attempted to turn the system into a weapon, his servants rebelled. The tower fell silent, but the cooling system continued beneath the sands.
