The Root-Veined Trove of Rotskogen

Deep within the lightless hollows beneath the Heartseed Tree, the air is thick with the scent of damp earth and ancient rot. The party discovers the items tangled within a cluster of living root-veins that pulse with a slow, rhythmic heartbeat. These thick, woody tendrils have grown tightly around the treasures, requiring the heroes to either carefully sever the wood-flesh with a blade or use controlled fire to singe the roots away. As each layer of bark is removed, the items are released from the tree's desperate, protective grip, though the roots seem to twitch in protest of the theft.
