Humanoid Guise. The jorogumo can use its action to polymorph into a Medium humanoid replica of itself or back into its true spider form. Its statistics are the same in either form, except the humanoid form has no climb speed and its AC is reduced by 1. Its equipment melds into its body. Venomous Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target restrained by the jorogumo's web or one other creature. Hit: 7 () piercing damage plus 7 () poison damage. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed until the end of the jorogumo's next turn. A creature that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to the jorogumo's paralytic venom for 24 hours.
Silken Burst. The jorogumo unleashes a burst of sticky silk in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be restrained by silk (as Sticky Web) and be covered in odorless, clinging threads that impose disadvantage on Stealth checks until removed. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. The jorogumo can use this action twice, then must finish a short or long rest to use it again.
Beguiling Aspect. Ranged Spell Attack: to hit, range 30 ft., one humanoid that can see the jorogumo. On a hit the target takes no damage but must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed for 1 minute. While charmed in this way, the target regards the jorogumo as a trusted ally and will follow simple requests that are not obviously suicidal. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. If the target takes damage, it immediately receives another saving throw with advantage.
Silken Slip. When a creature grapples the jorogumo or attempts to shove it, the jorogumo can use its reaction to excrete a slippery film and automatically succeed on the check. If it succeeds the grappler falls prone in the web and is restrained until it frees itself.
