Cinder-Wing Wyvern
Local legends say these wyverns were once common dragons whose blood was thinned by a great fire curse. Now they are husks of heat and rage, unable to produce true flame but mastery of the suffocating aftereffects of fire.

Tactics
Opening
The wyvern begins high in the fog, using its Ash Breath to blind as many targets as possible before diving.
Mid-fight
It focuses on a single blinded target, using Multiattack and its fly speed to stay out of reach of grounded melee fighters.
End of the fight
If reduced below 30 HP, it uses its Ash Cloud Escape to gain distance and retreats to its lair.
Retreat
Extremely defensive of its nest; it will fight to the death if the battle occurs within the Scorched Hives.

Ecology
This wyvern has scales that resemble split, charred logs with embers glowing in the cracks. Its wings are tattered at the edges, constantly shedding a trail of thick grey smoke. Instead of the usual wyvern green, its skin is the color of cooling magma and volcanic glass.
Behavior
It is an opportunistic hunter that relies on stealth. It circles high above the heavy fog of the Scorched Hives, diving only when it can confirm a target is isolated. It is highly territorial and views any light source as a challenge to its dominance.
How it lives
Cinder-Wing Wyverns feed primarily on charred remains. They often 'cook' their prey by hovering over them and beating their wings to fan flames before descending to eat. Their digestive systems require charcoal and minerals found in volcanic ash.
Lair
The Scorched Hives, a series of vertical basalt tubes that naturally vent heat and sulfurous gases.
- Habitat
- Volcanic outskirts, burnt forests, and foggy canyons.

To protect its nest in the Scorched Hives and eliminate any competitors for food in the foggy lowlands.
