Mantle of Misery. Any creature that starts its turn within 20 feet of the Echo must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become Frightened for 1 minute as they relive their most traumatic memories. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Echo's Mantle of Misery for the next 24 hours.
Incorporeal Movement. The Echo can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 () force damage if it ends its turn inside an object.
Ethereal Sight. The Echo can see 60 feet into the Ethereal Plane when it is on the Material Plane, and vice versa.
Psychic Lash. Melee Spell Attack: to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 () psychic damage.

Whisper of Truth. If calmed (via a Persuasion check or offering a token of kindness), the Echo telepathically shares one secret. It reveals that the Warden's power is tied to a phylactery disguised as a common brass cell key, or reveals a hidden passage behind the flaying rack.
Phantasmal Displacement. When the Echo takes damage, it can use its reaction to turn invisible and teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.
