Daybound Guise. By day a rokurokubi appears as an ordinary human. Observers require a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check to notice anything off about them while in day form. At night or when they choose, they can assume their elongated-neck form as an action.
Elongating Neck. While the rokurokubi's neck is extended it gains a 15-foot bonus to melee reach, allowing it to make attacks and interact with objects up to 30 feet away from its body. While extended it has disadvantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
Illusory Veil. The rokurokubi can cast Minor Illusion at will. It can also cast Disguise Self and Silent Image once each per day without material components. Charisma is the spellcasting ability (spell save ).
Fearcraft. The rokurokubi's Frightening Visage is a supernatural effect. If the rokurokubi uses an effect that causes fear, it has resistance to psychic damage from that source only.
Eavesdropper. The rokurokubi has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing while its neck is extended.

A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If the target succeeds on the initial save, it is immune to Frightening Visage for 24 hours.
Flexible Riposte. When a creature within 30 feet provokes an opportunity attack by moving out of the rokurokubi's reach, the rokurokubi may retract or extend its neck as part of this reaction. If it extends to make the opportunity attack, it does so with disadvantage on the attack roll.
